Betrayed

One of the biggest facts of life for the people who pursue trains taking pictures of them is that, sometimes, the weather doesn't help. And the worst type isn't the heavy clouded skies, but the single clouds that constantly pass in front of the Sun and blocking its light. Especially when the train is passing, making the image we had planned a tad darker than desired. Thus, at home, the dilemma appears of digitally trying to lighten up the scene a bit and making it a bit more enjoyable...

CP 1413 passes by the rice fields of Alcácer do Sal with the Presidential Train, the 10h00 13862/3 special train between Faro and Lisbon-Oriente. If you look at the photo details, you may discover that this shot was taken seven hours after the train's departure. That's because the train had a scheduled stop at the Grândola for a couple of hours to have some VIPs visit the Presidential Train, see in from the inside and gaze at the marvellous restoration made by the folks of the National Railways Museum (or MNF, if you're a portuguese-speaking person)...
