Takargo Rail, a company belonging to the Mota-Engil group, was created around this year to compete with CP-Carga on the freight transport business, who already bough three 1400-series locomotives from CP, for engineer teaching and, in the future, minor services and shunting, and an order was made to Vossloh for 14 Euro4000 locomotives. A partnership was formed with Comsa Rail, the first Iberian private railway company, and their 335.001 locomotive has been loaned to Takargo, for tests and, too, engineer teaching (honestly, is this how it's called?). Next week, perhaps, the first Euro4000 (which, apparently, will be given the number '6000' - Comsa Diesel Locomotive 335 series Builders: Vossloh AG / Electro-Motive Division Began service: 2008 Units built: 1 (?) Length: 23,020 m Weight: 123 t Axle formula: Co'Co' Top speed: 120 km/h Power (wheels): 3178 kW (? Cv) |
